Currency Geo Filter

Currency Geo Filter is an auto currency switcher for Magento store. This currency selector includes additional embedded module (Customer Locator) that allows you to identify the country a visitor is from. When your potential customer comes to your site, Customer Locator determines the visitor’s location by his (her) IP address or default shipping address depending on configuration. Customer can correct location manually as an option as well. After that, the Currency Geo Filter Magento plugin set up allowed currencies of the buyer’s country and gives the customer to browse products prices in proper currency.

The web shop administrator is allowed to set the single currency or let user to choose it from the list depending on visitor’s country (by shipping / billing addresses optionally). The administrator selects United Kingdom for Pound and if necessary for any other monetary unit (e.g., US Dollar, Euro etc.). In this case the customer has a price in GBP or can manually change the currency to another presented in the currency list that is previously selected by the administrator (e.g., USD, EUR etc,). The same way a country may be assigned to the single currency or not assigned to any currency at all.

Here is another example of how does Currency Geo Filter works. Suppose a consumer from Canada makes a purchase in an online shop. The item will be shipped to the USA address. Currency Geo Filter allows to adjust monetary unit either by Billing address (Canadian dollar) or by Shipping address (US dollar). The currency will be switched to USD / CAD automatically.
