Multi-Warehouse v1.2.0.0 Released

 

We are delighted to announce the release of the new stable version 1.2.0.0 of the Multi-Warehouse Magento extension.

In the version 1.2.0.0 we have rearranged, removed and renamed some elements of the configuration interface, amplified it with new handy options, thereby optimizing the process of modeling the multi-origin system and expanding its flexibility.

 

As you can see on the screenshot above, we abolished two sections: Single Mode and Multiple Mode. Now their options are available in the Options section. Make them visible by selecting an appropriate mode (Mode -> Single / Multiple). At the same time the options will appear only for the mode you are running with. Note that the Delivery Methods field has been renamed to Assignment Method.

Speaking of renaming, in the Shipping section we renamed the Enable Shipping Methods Filter field to Enable Carrier Filter.

Additionally, we supplemented the Warehouses configuration with the Catalog section that will help administrators to opt which warehouse-related information to display to customers on the frontend for each product. Besides, we added two backend products grid options: Display Backend Grid Qty and Display Backend Grid Batch Prices. Note that the Enable Shelves field has been relocated from the Options section to Catalog.

Options

Single Mode

The Single mode has been supplemented with two new shipping algorithms (Assignment Methods): Assigned Customer Groups and Assigned Currencies.

 

Assigned Customer Groups

This option allows to assign a customer group / groups to a certain warehouse.

 

Assigned Currencies

This option allows to assign a currency / currencies to a certain warehouse.

 

Display Information

The Show Warehouse Information and Show Warehouse Description field has been renamed to Display Information and Display Description correspondingly. Moreover, in the version 1.2.0.0 the Display Description field appears only if Display Information has been enabled. It’s also worth noting that the activation of Display Information makes visible a number of other options to display warehouses information, namely: Sort by, Display Origin, Display Distance, and Distance Unit.

 

Sort by

Here you can select how would you like your warehouses to be sorted on the frontend and backend. You have the option to sort warehouses by: ID, Code, Title, Priority, or Origin.

The new version gives administrators ability to provide customers with more data about warehouses:

Display Origin

Show addresses of warehouses.

Display Distance

Allow customers to see warehouses with the distance in miles / nautical miles / kilometers from where the shopper is currently located.

Distance Unit

Here, administrators select the unit for Display Distance.

 

Allow Adjustment

Allow customers to make adjustments where shoppers have possibility to change the warehouse that has been selected by a shipping algorithm (an Assignment Method previously set by a webshop admin) of the system.

 

Catalog

In the Catalog section an administrator defines which warehouse information will show up on the backend and frontend.

Display Information

Enable this option to be able to customize warehouses information displayed to customers.

Note: The option of the same name in the Options section must be previously activated. Otherwise, Display Information won’t be visible in Catalog.

In turn, the option enabled in Catalog makes visible the following fields:

 

Display Out of Stock

Disable this option to hide all of the warehouses where the item is out-of-stock in the quote.

Display Origin

If enabled, displays addresses of warehouses in the quote.

Display Distance

If enabled, displays the distance between the customer’s location and warehouses in the quote.

Display Description

If enabled, displays warehouses descriptions in the quote.

 

Display Availability

If enabled, displays stock availability in each storage location.

Display Qty

If enabled, displays the quantity of stock currently on hand in each distribution point.

Display Tax

If enabled, displays tax information for each warehouse.

Display Shipping

If enabled, displays all of the shipping methods and pricing for each shipping origin.

 

The next two options allow to control the warehouse information displayed for products grid on the administration side.

Display Backend Grid Qty

If enabled, displays products quantities in all of the inventory locations.

Display Backend Grid Batch Prices

If enabled, displays products prices in each warehouse.

 

Create New Order

We added an extra Reset Items button on the Create New Order page for Multiple Mode:

 

Using this button the administrator can reset warehouses back to the original state after they have been updated (changed).
